Gather the Plant [Mission]

Having woken up over an hour ago, Uzumaki Yuuka made his way to the location the Jounin had indicated, after eating and ensuring he had everything he needed for the mission. He was a little nervous about this, not just because this was his first C-rank, but also because this would be the first time he used the seals he had designed in the field. Well, if they got into a combat situation, anyway.

It would also be the first time he had gone on a mission with an Uchiha, something he was a little apprehensive about, given what the clan had drilled into him. ’Arrogant, and deadly. Thieves, prone to insanity.’ While they probably weren’t all like that, he was still struggling against years of drilling that they were.

Then there was the fact that Hyuuga Haru was on the team- although he wasn’t sure how to feel about that. ‘It’s like they think that because we know each other we should be put on the same team… or something. We can’t be the only two genin in the village.’ Still, hopefully they would get along enough to carry out the mission- all three of them.

He turned the last corner to the departure gate, immediately noticing the jounin leaning against it. ’…He looks like an insomniac.’ was his first thought, followed by, ’Gah, why is everyone so tall’ He slowed as he reached the man, pausing a few feet away before greeting, somewhat awkwardly, “Er…Hello, Uchiha-san, I am one of the genin assigned under your lead for the mission.” He gave a short bow to the man, before clasping his hands behind him.

From the corner of his eye, Ryuujin saw a blur of white peek into his peripheral vision. He turned his head and looked at the boy walking towards his direction. White hair… but no Byakugan… is this Uzumaki Yuuka? he thought, surprised by the lack of red pigment in the boy’s hair. The boy introduced himself somewhat hesitantly but with utmost respect.

“Er…Hello, Uchiha-san, I am one of the genin assigned under your lead for the mission.” the boy said with a bow. Ryuujin nodded his head. "It is a pleasure to meet you. You may refer to me as Ryuujin-sama, I'll have you know, I am much more than a simple clan." he told Yuuka.

Suddenly, another figure came walking by. This must be the Hyuuga... Ryuujin thought as a slender boy walked towards the duo.

“Hyuuga Haru, ready for the mission,” he said when he got close, crossing his arms across his chest in a closed off fashion. “You must be Uchiha Ryuujin, huh?” Haru then asked. “A pleasure. Though I hardly understand why you're needed for flower picking. Anyway, lets get this over with.”

Haru began walking towards the exit and into the wilderness. Ryuujin laughed in his head, both guesses... wrong... what are the chances. "Nice to meet you Haru" Ryuujin said as he followed Haru and gestured for Yuuka to follow them. He then walked to the front of the trio and pulled the mission scroll out of his bacpack.

"Well, this is a rather simple mission so we should be able to finish quickly. However, as your captain, I would like to ask for you to remain vigilant, it says that their are many wild bears and that they are quite aggressive." Ryuujin told the two. "However, since this is a C-Rank mission, I'm sure you two should be able to handle it." Ryuujin said.

"Of course if you need my help, be sure to ask."  he added as they continued along the path.

”So it would seem,” Haru replied when Yuuka walked up to him, ignoring what the Jounin had said. ”I can't seem to get rid of you. Maybe it's destiny.” With that, the boy continued onward with strong, determined steps, which neverthess carried him gracefully across the dirt road. His first C-rank mission. He could not fail. Looking back over his shoulder, he eyed the Uchiha. Asking him for help would be as pathetic as failing the mission.

”So, Yuuka, prepared?” he asked shortly after, though he sounded anything but genuinely interested. His white eyes on the road, he kept marching forward, forcing the Jounin to take up the rear. He was not going to lose to a Jounin...
