The Tadashi Clan resides now in Iwagakure but this was not always was the case. It is only in recent years that the clan made the move from the outskirts of Tsuchi no Kun to Iwagakure proper. The Tadashi Clan started off as a fraternity of monks who used T'ai chi ch'uan and other martial arts to perfect their body and bring themselves closer to enlightenment. The Tadashi brotherhood were renowned for their mastery of the martial arts and the quality of the weapons they produced in the forge. Despite all their skills in martial arts the Tadashi brotherhood were all pacifists believing that combat outside sparring in an arena tainted the soul and would prevent enlightenment.



Many clans grew jealous of the weapons the Tadashi monks wielded and intended to take their secrets by force. During the night shinobi from what would eventually become Amegakure raided the monastery

slaughtering many innocent monks who refused to fight back due to their pacifist oaths. During the night of 1000 cries as it later came to be known Tadashi Ryu broke his oath and slaughtered countless enemy shinobi and pleaded to his brothers trying to convince them there was no dishonour in defending yourself though only two dozen broke their oaths and returned violence with violence. Even those who did not break their oaths now looked at Tadashi Ryu as a leader and a saviour.



Shortly after the founding of Iwagakure Tadashi Ryu went on a pilgrimage to the shinobi village to plead with the elders, offering the use of his brothers as shinobi and to teach them the martial arts of the Tadashi clan in exchange for the protection of the village. The offer was accepted despite Tadashi Ryu telling the elders that they would never reveal the forging process the bukijutsu seals that the monks held.



Since their time in Iwagakure the monks have come to accept a more normal way of life, taking families and having children. As the Tadashi clan originated from a variety of monk the appearance of the clan members varies greatly in comparison to other clans

The secret of the Tadashi brotherhood which is now the Tadashi clan is through the process by which their weapons are forged and imbued with seals unique to the Tadashi Clan. As the members of the Tadashi clan have no chakra natures they depend on these seals for their techniques.

The seals and their colours are as follows:

The seals used by the Tadashi clan have often been compared to senjutsu as they take their elemental natures from the environment upon creation and are activated by the chakra flow of the user which illuminates the seals their respective colour as above.

It is also common for members of the Tadashi clan even to genin the seal weapons in tattoos on their bodies.



The seals represent the nature present however the techniques used vary as much if not more than other ninja jutsu. For example a fire seal on a weapon will vary firstly from weapon to weapon and on user to user depending upon the style of the user wielding it. An aggresive user with an aggressive fighting style will have far more offensive jutsu than the same style of weapon in the hands of a more balanced user.

All Tadashi weapons are forged by Wakasagi. A unique material Soul Mirror Steel, named as such not only for the mirror like appearence of the metal in it's raw form but also the way the weapon behaves once imbued with the user's chakra. Soul Mirror Steel is used in the creation of all weapons for the Tadashi. Soul Mirror Steel is one of the hardest metals in the world and can only be rivaled by diamonds. All of the weapons are forged in their own way however before that has begun the Soul Mirror Steel is prepared for quite a long time before that, this can take anywhere from days to weeks. Wakasagi never uses Chakra to aid him in crafting his clan's weaponry although he does however make the intended user donate quite a large amount of chakra. This allows the weapon to have a unique trait as it will only react to that chakra. This effectively locks the weapon to it's owner. During this chakra molding process the Soul Mirror Steel is folded and hammered repeatedly to give the weapon extremely good physical resistance to other weapons.

A special sealing gem is placed in the weapon, usually in the hilt or handle if it has one. While this gem is visually appealing it also contains a very nasty trap seal. Using some of the chakra that Wakasagi requires for forging the weapon, he places it into the gem. This gem uses this chakra to activate a negative effect from the last seal used. This defensive mechanism is individual in its reaction depending on the last seal used. For example if the last seal activated was a Fire seal, then the entire weapon would burst into flames. After this trap has been activated the chakra is used up. When the actual owner of the weapon holds it again, it takes a little bit of chakra to restore the trap.


The weapons are made up of a combination of softer and harder pieces that are crafted in such a way as to make the weapon able to absorb a lot of force. When used, the weapons of the Tadashi give off an iridescent sheen, like that of a butterfly's wings. Upon being presented with the blade, the Tadashi is asked to name their new weapon and, as a final touch, the corresponding symbol was inscribed with chakra upon the weapon and scabbard if it had one. Once finished, a Tadashi weapon is easily a weapon without equal, except for others of its kind. Moreover, the weapons are custom-made, their dimensions and parameters personalized to the Shinobi who would wield them. Thus, while each weapon is different, each is the perfect weapon for its owner.

The user of this justu has a tattoo of the clan's symbol somewhere on their body. The user simply focuses chakra into the tattoo which then causes for their chosen weapon to appear in their hand.

The use of this jutsu allows for the user to activate their elemental seal should they have one. As the Tadashi have no elemental affinities all of their elemental jutsu are used through this jutsu and the corresponding seal.

By forcing a great deal of chakra into the seal of his weapon the user is able to enter a state of being augmented by the seal, this state varies from weapon to weapon and from person to person.
The most common being an armour similar in effects to Raiton no Yoroi however there have been cases of other seals being flared like the clone seal to create a mass of kage bunshin like clones.
This sudden burst of chakra down a weapon requires not only a great deal of control but it makes the weapon unable to receive the normal amount of chakra to activate any seal. (requires one cooldown post before you can activate another seal)

By forcing a great deal of chakra into the seal of his weapon the user is able activate a far more powerful technique than is usually available to them. This like all Tadashi skills can vary from person to person and weapon to weapon. Some users create giant shields other use it for offensive purposes.

Focusing chakra on the yellow clone seal the user is able to create a perfect copy of the weapon. While the weapon is a clone it is capable of striking a target however it requires a substantial amount of concentration to keep it's form after a single hit.

If a Tadashi has more then one weapon they are able to focus chakra on their tattoo and constantly switch between the two. This can be used to rapidly swap weapons for mostly offensive purposes. Chaining together the different forms of the respective weapons can throw an opponent off guard and create an opening.
